RALEIGH, N.C. - Maciek “Michael” Gracz was cited on a misdemeanor gambling charge after a poker raid in North Carolina. Gracz is best known for winning Event #7 at the 2005 WSOP.

“He (Gracz) says having more than a dozen officers spend about eight hours at the scene of a clandestine casino on Saturday night was a waste of tax dollars. The 26-year-old says he thinks it’s silly that he can’t play poker in North Carolina when he can travel just a few hours and play legally elsewhere.

Authorities say 60 people were charged with engaging in a game of chance, or gambling, and eleven were charged with operating a game of chance at a building near Benson.”
