The Silverton Casino Lodge poker room will be giving away seats to the 2008 California State Poker Championship, which is scheduled to be held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles September 20 and 21. Now through August 31, Silverton poker players can earn points through daily tournaments and live poker play. The top 20 players with the most earned points by August 24th will qualify to compete in a satellite event at Silverton Casino Lodge on August 31. The 20 players will be broken into two groups, the top three players from each group will receive cash prizes and the winning players will receive a $2,500 entry fee into the California State Poker Championship, hotel and airfare for two plus$700 cash.
