LAS VEGAS, NV: The Silverton Casino will qualify 60 players from December 2nd through January 27th for the opportunity to win a seat in the $10,000 Entry, LA Poker Classic World Poker Tour Event. The LAPC will be held at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles California February 23rd through 28th, 2008. Players can qualify through live poker play and by participating in Silverton Daily Tournaments.

Live Poker Qualifying. Players will be required to play 5 hours of live poker during the week preceding each event to be able to gain entry into the $28 buy-in, $2500 Guaranteed WPT Qualifying Tournament. Players who finish 1st through 5th will qualify to play in the Silverton’s WPT Satellite Tournament. The Silverton Poker Room will run this qualifying tournament every Sunday at 7:30pm through January 27th, 2008. 40 players will qualify for for the WPT Satellite Event through these qualifying tournaments.

Daily Tournament Qualifying. 20 players will advance to the WPT Satellite through the Silverton Daily Tournaments. The Tournaments will have a scoring system and the top 20 in points will qualify to play in the Silverton’s WPT Satellite Event. The tournament point system will run from December 3rd through January 30th. No points are awarded for the Sunday WPT qualifying events. Players will receive 3 points for each daily tournament they enter. Bonus points will be awarded to players who finish 1st through 5th place. 1st place will get 10 points, 2nd place - 8 points, 3rd place - 6 points, 4th place - 4 points, 5th place - 2 points.

The Silverton’s LA Poker Classic WPT Satellite will be held on Saturday February 2nd and Sunday February 3rd at 1pm. The top 5 players from each day will return to play the final table on Sunday February 3rd at 4pm. Each player at the final table will receive a cash prize. First prize is valued at $11,800. This includes the $10,000 entry, $800 spending cash, hotel and airfare for two.
