LAS VEGAS, NV: The second annual Binion’s Poker Classic gets underway this week. Last year the first Classic was scheduled to mirror the World Series of Poker; the Binion’s event would be whatever was playing at the WSOP the next day for 1/10th the buy-in. The idea was to give players a “warm-up” or practice event. Low limit players also used the Classic events as satellites for the WSOP. This year the schedule continues to follow the next day’s event at the WSOP with a few exceptions. But basically the Binion’s Poker Classic is the everyday players inexpensive world series.
The BPC kicks off on May 29th and runs through a $2,000 Championship event on July 7th & 8th. The full Binion’s Poker Classic schedule can be found here.
