When the World Poker Tour unveiled its Season Seven schedule, it shouldn’t have been a surprise to find the Beau Rivage in their premier event line-up. Since its $500 million renovation following Hurricane Katrina, the Beau Rivage has established itself as a luxurious poker Mecca in heart of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. The Beau Rivage was a popular addition to the World Poker Tour’s Season Six. While the WPT did trim some venues from their Seventh Season, they knew the Beau Rivage was a keeper. The televised $10,000 buy-in event will run from January 16th -19th 2009.

WPT Founder, President, and CEO Steve Lipscomb said, “To ensure the World Poker Tour continues to deliver the best experience possible, Season VII features a strong lineup of stops that have consistently proven to be player favorites and continue to see growth season after season. Industry trends and player feedback were instrumental in creating the schedule, which focuses on marquis events to drive the increased field sizes, richest prize pools and more media coverage for players. The schedule also gives players more opportunity to participate in satellites and other events and allows the WPT and Casinos partners to focus on bigger promotional opportunities around each event.”
