TULSA, OK: The fifth Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge will kick of at the Cherokee Casino Poker Room in Tulsa on October 30th. This always well attended event will, of course, be hosted by WSOP $50K H.O.R.S.E. champion, the Prince of Poker Scotty Nguyen.

Mid-South Poker Classic

TULSA, OK: The Cherokee Casino will host the Mid-South Poker Classic May 15th-26th with a total of twenty events. Scotty Nguyen will again host the Mid-South Classic. The main event will be a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em tournament beginning of May 25th. Below is the complete tournament schedule.

Cherokee Casino: Team Cherokee 2008 WSOP

Cherokee Casino poker players can win their way to the 2008 WSOP in Las Vegas by earning “Team Cherokee” points. Players earn points by entering daily, weekly and monthly tournaments March 24 to June 19. The higher you finish in each tournament, the more “Team Cherokee” points you earn.

• Earn points March 24 – June 19

• The top point earners will compete in a Championship Qualifier June 22 @ 1pm

• Team Cherokee members will depart Cherokee Casino Resort on June 29 and play event #52, the $1,500 No Limit Hold ‘em, during the World Series of Poker^®* at the Rio Hotel & Casino on June 30

• Lodging, transportation and Team Cherokee apparel will be provided for all team members

• Funding for Team Cherokee is generated through a four percent hold of regularly scheduled daily, weekly and monthly tournament prize pools, March 24 to June 30

Oklahoma State Championship of Poker

CATOOSA, OK: The Oklahoma State Championship of Poker returns to the Cherokee Casino Resort, Tulsa February 14 through 26th 2008. The series kicks off on Valentines Day at 6pm with a $200 buy-in Jack and Jill team entry No Limit Texas Hold’em event.

Winners of each State Championship Event play in the February 26 for a $25k WPT World Championship seat.

Single table satellites begin January 1, 2008.

11/20/07 - CATOOSA, OK: Poker legend TJ Cloutier takes down the Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV Main Event today walking with $240,560 at the Cherokee Casino Resort - Tulsa. Tournament host Scotty Nguyen made the final table and went out 8th for $15,035. One hundred twenty four players bought in for $5,000 making a total prize pool of $601,400.

10/26/07 - Cherokee Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma is gearing up for the 2007 Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge running from November 1st - November 20th. This years SNPC IV is the biggest ever, 20 days, 31 events including Texas Hold’em, 7 stud, Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo ranging from No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Limit with buy-ins from $120 to $5150. The SNPC main event will have an estimated prize pool of 2 million dollars. Satellite tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $45 to $540 are running through October with Super Satellites starting November 1st.
