Las Vegas, NV: The Silverton Casino re-opened their new 5 table poker room on Friday, November 21st. The poker room is currently running their “Buy a Rack, Get a Stack” Grand Opening Special, players who buy $100 in chips will receive $20 in bonus chips from 12pm to 2pm, through December 31st.

LAS VEGAS, NV: The brand new poker room at the Silverton Lodge and Casino looks to be nearly ready. There is a big sign saying the scheduled opening is November, 2008 and if you look into the all new addition to the casino you can make out what will be the new poker room. Until then the poker “room” has been reduced to just three tables and they are actually attached to one of the gaming pits out on the casino floor. We have never seen even a temporary setup like this, where the poker tables are one end of a gaming pit, but according to Silverton staff that new room is on schedule to open very, very soon.

Silverton To Give Away Seats To The California State Poker Championship

The Silverton Casino Lodge poker room will be giving away seats to the 2008 California State Poker Championship, which is scheduled to be held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles September 20 and 21. Now through August 31, Silverton poker players can earn points through daily tournaments and live poker play. The top 20 players with the most earned points by August 24th will qualify to compete in a satellite event at Silverton Casino Lodge on August 31. The 20 players will be broken into two groups, the top three players from each group will receive cash prizes and the winning players will receive a $2,500 entry fee into the California State Poker Championship, hotel and airfare for two plus$700 cash.

Silverton Poker: LA Poker Classic Satellite

LAS VEGAS, NV: The Silverton Casino will qualify 60 players from December 2nd through January 27th for the opportunity to win a seat in the $10,000 Entry, LA Poker Classic World Poker Tour Event. The LAPC will be held at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles California February 23rd through 28th, 2008. Players can qualify through live poker play and by participating in Silverton Daily Tournaments.

Live Poker Qualifying. Players will be required to play 5 hours of live poker during the week preceding each event to be able to gain entry into the $28 buy-in, $2500 Guaranteed WPT Qualifying Tournament. Players who finish 1st through 5th will qualify to play in the Silverton’s WPT Satellite Tournament. The Silverton Poker Room will run this qualifying tournament every Sunday at 7:30pm through January 27th, 2008. 40 players will qualify for for the WPT Satellite Event through these qualifying tournaments.

Daily Tournament Qualifying. 20 players will advance to the WPT Satellite through the Silverton Daily Tournaments. The Tournaments will have a scoring system and the top 20 in points will qualify to play in the Silverton’s WPT Satellite Event. The tournament point system will run from December 3rd through January 30th. No points are awarded for the Sunday WPT qualifying events. Players will receive 3 points for each daily tournament they enter. Bonus points will be awarded to players who finish 1st through 5th place. 1st place will get 10 points, 2nd place - 8 points, 3rd place - 6 points, 4th place - 4 points, 5th place - 2 points.

The Silverton’s LA Poker Classic WPT Satellite will be held on Saturday February 2nd and Sunday February 3rd at 1pm. The top 5 players from each day will return to play the final table on Sunday February 3rd at 4pm. Each player at the final table will receive a cash prize. First prize is valued at $11,800. This includes the $10,000 entry, $800 spending cash, hotel and airfare for two.

The “coziest poker room in Las Vegas” at the Silverton has started a new promotion for their Friday night $6-$12 Limit Hold’em game. When you buy a rack of $2 chips for $200 between 8pm and 9pm the Silverton poker room will give you an additional stack of $2 chips ($40). Limited to the first 10 players who buy a rack.
