London, ENG:  The Equal Chance poker room is hosting their 2-day Main Event with a £20,000 guaranteed prize pool on December 12 &13, 2008.  The tournament will start at 8pm on Friday, December 12 and continue on Saturday December 13 at 2pm. This £200 buy-in tournament has a new 3-2-1 format with an optional £100 add-on and £50 final add-on.  Players receive 10,000 in starting chips with a 45 minute clock, each add-on gets an additional 10,000 in chips.

The Equal Chance Main Event tournament will be capped at 120 players. All tables are dealer dealt.  There will be a player’s buffet at the first interval.

LONDON, ENGLAND: The European Poker Tour comes to Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London on October 1-5, 2008. The tournament this year will have a £1 million guaranteed first prize, thanks to PokerStars adding on £250,000. This is the first time that PokerStars has offered a guaranteed first prize at an EPT and it’s likely to attract a massive field of players from all over the world. Another Win For League Leader Pete Edler 50 members rolled into Reigate for the regular Friday night £10 Rebuy, contributing to a lively tournament and a prize pool of almost £3,000. By the end, (and after various deals had been done), just Pete Edler and Simon Atridge were left in a heads-up for the Main Event ticket worth £220. Pete came out on top, picking up yet more Poker League points and claiming £665 in cash along with the ticket that gains him entry into the £200 FreezeOut that kicks-off at 4.00pm in a little over 2 weeks time on Saturday 28th June when the guaranteed prize pool will be £10,000. Simon took second spot and £665 in cash. Steve Critchely in third place grabbed £400.

Vishal Wins £700 Vishal Patel won Saturday’s £50 Shoot-Out and with the prize money guaranteed by the club he managed to get his hands on £700 in cash, despite the disappointing turn-out. Claire Tucker also benefited from the great value on offer and took £400 in prize money. 3rd-Placed Matthew Cock picked up £250.
Currently lying in second place, Vishal’s win brought him 30pts and helped him close the gap on Poker League leader Pete Edler. With some way still to go, the race at the top is very much alive.
