LA MALBAIE, QC: On Friday, August 29, 2008, the Casino de Charlevoix in Quebec will hold the Carnival Cruise PokerPro Challenge in their electronic poker room. 1st and 2nd place prizes include cash and and a Carnival Cruise New Orleans package valued at $4,000!

The cruise will take place October 4-9, 2008 and includes:
* air transportation between Montréal and New Orleans
* one night in New Orleans
* five-day cruise for two
* one entry in the electronic Texas Hold’em poker tournament aboard the cruise ship, offering a total purse of $70,000.

The Casino de Charlevoix poker room opened on January 18, 2008, and will be using the PokerPro electronic tables to offer Limit and No Limit Texas Hold’em cash games and single table and multi-table tournaments. Software for PokerPro tables has been translated into multiple languages and will offer French and English options to poker players at Casino de Charlevoix.

MONTERAL, QUEBEC: On January 18, 2008 three casinos in Quebec, Canada opened new automated poker rooms with 43 PokerPro electronic tables made by PokerTek. Quebec is PokerTek’s first installation in Canada, 25 of the 43 tables installed in Casino de Montreal (becoming PokerTek’s largest installation of PokerPro tables in the world), Casino du Lac-Leamy installed 13 PokerPro tables, and Casino de Charlevoix installed 5 tables.
