MONTERAL, QUEBEC: On January 18, 2008 three casinos in Quebec, Canada opened new automated poker rooms with 43 PokerPro electronic tables made by PokerTek. Quebec is PokerTek’s first installation in Canada, 25 of the 43 tables installed in Casino de Montreal (becoming PokerTek’s largest installation of PokerPro tables in the world), Casino du Lac-Leamy installed 13 PokerPro tables, and Casino de Charlevoix installed 5 tables. The three Quebec casinos will be using the PokerPro tables to offer Limit and No Limit Texas Hold’em cash games and single table and multi-table tournaments. Software for PokerPro tables has been translated into multiple languages and will offer French and English options to the players in Quebec.
